The 2004 Street Party for the children of our community was again a wonderful success. It was a gorgeous day and the kids arrived ready for a fun-filled afternoon. They certainly were not disappointed. The old favorites such as the ever-popular dunking machine and Ralph, the vendor with the space age refreshment car for popcorn and cotton candy, were present. This year the newcomer was a 6-hole mini golf course. Even the little ones could hide out for a while from the hustle and bustle in tunnels and cubes. For quieter moments the children could make tissue flowers, visors, magnets, tote bags and have their picture taken with one of the Lava Lava characters. Annie had a lot of fun “cooking up” face painting designs and the kids were very happy with her creations. The Grace Notes concert concluded a perfect day, for which we are so grateful to God. Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time and resources for this exciting event.
